Dharavi Redevelopment: Survey to Conclude August 12
The survey to decide who gets new homes in the Dharavi redevelopment is ending on August 12.
Teams will stop visiting homes, but people can still apply by calling a helpline and providing proof.
The project started in March 2024 to find out who qualifies for new housing.
Over one lakh homes have been checked.
Those in Dharavi before January 1, 2000, get a 350 sq ft flat.
Others between 2000 and 2011 may get a 300 sq ft home elsewhere.
Commercial tenants without ownership will get space, too.

Residents who can prove they were in Dharavi before Jan 1, 2000 will be entitled to a 350 sq ft flat in the redeveloped complex.
Project Outcomes
People who moved in between January 1, 2000, and January 1, 2011, are eligible for 300 sq ft accommodation outside Dharavi under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), either on rental or at a nominal buying rate.
