Bangladesh Interim PM Yunus Reacts to Hasina's Death Sentence
Imagine Bangladesh had a big protest last year, and many people were hurt or killed.
Now, a special court in Bangladesh has said that the former leader, Sheikh Hasina, and her former minister, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, were responsible for ordering these bad things.
Because of this, the court has sentenced them to death.
The current leader of Bangladesh, Muhammad Yunus, said this verdict shows that nobody is above the law and it's a step towards justice for the families.
However, Sheikh Hasina's son, Sajeeb Wazed, believes the trial was unfair and that the court was not legitimate.
He says his mother is innocent and the verdict is like a 'sham' because the trial happened too quickly and without a proper parliament.
Sheikh Hasina has been living in India since she left Bangladesh.
