AP Assembly Session Schedule Finalised; Group-I Row on Aug 19
The Andhra Pradesh government's assembly is going to meet for four days.
Important leaders got together to plan what they will talk about each day.
They decided to discuss a report about reservations for Backward Classes on Tuesday.
They also planned a big discussion about a government job recruitment process from the previous government.
People are arguing about whether that recruitment process was fair.
The leaders decided to give this discussion plenty of time without rushing it.
The meeting was led by the Speaker and included the Chief Minister and other important leaders.
They also decided to turn nine temporary rules into regular laws.
The discussion about the recruitment process is happening because there are allegations and counter-allegations about how it was done.
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly will meet for four days, with the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) finalising the schedule.
The BAC, chaired by Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, decided to table the report on Backward Class (BC) reservations on Tuesday.
A detailed discussion on the Group-I recruitment process conducted during the previous YSRCP government will be held on Wednesday, August 19.
The BAC resolved that the Group-I issue would be discussed comprehensively without restricting the debate to a fixed time.
Nine ordinances requiring legislative approval will be introduced as Bills during the session.
