Retail Sales Slow: Challenges for Trent and DMart?
Two big retail companies in India, Trent and DMart, are starting to see their sales growth slow down.
This is happening because people are being more careful with their money.
Although these companies are still making more money, the increase isn't as big as before.
Both companies are opening more stores.
However, because the stock prices are high, and sales growth is slowing, investors are questioning whether the stocks are worth as much as people are paying for them.
Sales growth has slowed for retail chains Trent and Avenue Supermarts in the June 2025 quarter.
Trent's revenue increased by nearly 19% in the June 2025 quarter, while Avenue Supermarts' grew by 16.3%.
