Parents Allege Coaching Institute Negligence in Diveagar Drowning Tragedy

Eight students drowned during a trip to Diveagar beach in Maharashtra.

The trip was organized by Winners Academy, a coaching institute from Alandi.

The group traveled by bus and visited Raigad Fort before going to the beach.

Parents say the adults supervising the students did not take enough safety precautions.

One father said students were allowed into the water during the tide.

Families also alleged that some teachers were talking on the phone when the incident happened.

A student who stayed out of the water described seeing teachers run and call for help.

The local municipal council later sealed the coaching institute because it allegedly lacked a required certificate.
