Ravi Kishan's Memes Take Over India's Online Consciousness
Ravi Kishan is a famous Indian actor who is also a member of parliament.
Recently, videos of him saying funny, mixed-up phrases became very popular online.
People keep sharing his clips as jokes, called memes.
He once meant to say 'work from home' but said 'home from work.'
When asked whether he wants money or fame, he invented a new word: 'Paisaan.'
He also said 'Jaldi...
the late' when he was in a hurry at Parliament.
Many people jokingly call him their 'sleep paralysis demon' because his face shows up so often online.
Some of his singing and dancing has also been turned into funny videos.
Experts say he is popular because he is unpredictable, unlike carefully trained politicians.
People now use his phrases, like 'Money follows, my brother,' to react to everyday situations.
Actor-turned-politician Ravi Kishan, the BJP MP from Gorakhpur, has become a viral sensation across Indian social media.
His catchphrases include 'Jaldi... the late,' 'home from work,' and 'Paisaan,' a blend of paisa (money) and pehchaan (fame).
The meme trend began when he referred to the NEET paper leak as the 'NEET akhbar' in response to reporters' questions.
A new meme sub-genre jokingly calls Ravi Kishan people's 'sleep paralysis demon,' with templates featuring his rendition of 'Om Namah Shiva.'
Analysts attribute his lasting virality to his unpredictability and lack of media training, which gives him a 'rare algorithmic quality.'
