Indian Coast Guard, Navy Rescue Injured Iranian Fisherman From Dhow

Indian Coast Guard, Navy Rescue Injured Iranian Fisherman From Dhow

A fisherman on an Iranian boat named Al-Owais got hurt when there was a big boom during a fuel change.

His eyes and ear were badly injured.

The boat also had engine problems.

A rescue center in Iran told India about the emergency.

Another boat, MT STI Grace, gave him some help first.

Then, an Indian Coast Guard ship called ICGS Sachet picked him up from that boat.

Because he was still very sick, the Indian Navy sent a helicopter from Goa to pick him up from the Coast Guard ship out at sea.

The helicopter flew a long way, even in windy weather, to bring him safely to a hospital in Goa for more treatment.

This whole rescue showed how different Indian rescue teams worked together to help someone in trouble on the sea.
