Vacated Security Camps Become Tribal Student Hostels in Abujhmad
Two security camps in Abujhmad are now places for tribal students to live while going to school.
The forces left the camps after officials said the area had become more normal and less sensitive.
The old camp at Bhatpal can house 150 students.
The one at Kurusnar can house 110 students.
The hostels help children who come from faraway places to study.
Local officials say the change is part of efforts to improve education and other services in the area.
Two Central forces camps in Abujhmad, Chhattisgarh, have been converted into hostels for tribal students.
Bhatpal’s former camp now accommodates 150 students attending local middle English and higher secondary schools.
