Mirabai Chanu Targets Asian Games Medal After Injury Setbacks

Mirabai Chanu is a famous Indian weightlifter.

She has won Olympic and Commonwealth Games medals, but she has not yet won an Asian Games medal.

Injuries affected her performances at the 2018 and 2023 Asian Games.

Now she is training hard for the next Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.

She even went straight back to training after winning gold at the Commonwealth Games.

She says the Asian Games will be much harder because many of Asia’s best lifters will compete.

Her goal is to win a medal before thinking about the 2028 Olympics.

She is working with coach Vijay Sharma and fitness expert Aaron Horschig to stay healthy.
