Indian Women's Cricket Team Wins Maiden ODI World Cup

Imagine a big cricket game, like a championship for women, that India's team really wanted to win.

They had tried many times before but didn't win.

This time, in 2025, they played their best.

Two amazing players, Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana, hit lots of runs together.

Another player, Deepti Sharma, was also great with both batting and bowling.

In the final game, they played against South Africa.

India won by a lot of points!

This was super special because it was the first time India's women's team ever won this big prize.

People are celebrating all over India, and this win will make more girls want to play cricket.
