India Seeks Trusted Global Trade Partner Status

India wants to become a reliable country for other nations to trade with.

Vir Advani of the Confederation of Indian Industry said India is well placed to do this.

He said India’s exports crossed US$860 billion in FY26.

Trade around the world is changing because of politics, technology, environmental concerns and supply chains.

The summit discussed how India can respond to these changes.

Speakers said countries need clear and dependable trade rules.

They also said trade agreements can help businesses reach new markets and attract investment.
