Russia Rejects Germany’s Leipzig Airport Drone Attack Claims

Russia Rejects Germany’s Leipzig Airport Drone Attack Claims

An explosive-carrying drone was found in a secure area of Leipzig airport on August 4.

It was near a Ukrainian cargo plane.

Germany said Russia was responsible after examining the drone and other intelligence.

Germany described the incident as part of a larger pattern of hybrid attacks.

Germany then closed a Russian consulate and ended an agreement with a Russian cultural centre.

Russia rejected Germany’s position through criticism from Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Lavrov said Germany wanted war again and accused it of Nazism.

European Union countries later summoned Russian diplomats and discussed new sanctions.
