US Cancels Grant for Long-Delayed High-Speed Rail Project

US Cancels Grant for Long-Delayed High-Speed Rail Project

The U.S. government has stopped giving money to a project that wanted to build a super-fast train between Washington D.C. and Baltimore.

This project, called MAGLEV, was supposed to cost a lot of money, about $20 billion.

The government decided to cancel the money, which was $26 million, because the project was not planned well, faced problems with people living nearby, and cost too much money.

The review of how it would affect the environment was also stopped a few years ago.

It looks like the super-fast train won't be happening.
