ABRSM Submits Faculty Issues to SVU VC
A group called ABRSM met with the head of Sri Venkateswara University to talk about problems that teachers at the university are facing.
They asked for more teachers to be hired, for teachers to be promoted, and for a special pension plan to be given to some teachers.
The head of the university promised to look into these problems.
After their meeting, the head of the university also helped release a new calendar and a book that is a Telugu translation of a famous Tamil poetry collection.
The book was translated by a student from the university.
ABRSM submitted a representation to SVU Vice-Chancellor highlighting faculty issues.
Issues included filling 500 vacant faculty positions and implementing the CAS for promotions.
Vice-Chancellor assured ABRSM that the issues would be addressed promptly.
The Vice-Chancellor released the ABRSM 2026 New Year calendar and a Telugu translation of a Tamil haiku collection.
The translated book, 'Digulu Konga', was translated by Giddakinda Manikyam, a research scholar from SVU.
