Genrobotics, Armscor Sign MoU on Defence and Space Robotics
Genrobotics is a robotics company from Kerala, India.
It signed an agreement with Armscor, a South African defence organisation.
The agreement is about exploring ways to use robots in defence, space and satellites.
The two organisations may later develop and sell some technologies together.
The agreement does not guarantee that specific projects will be completed.
Armscor wants to strengthen South Africa’s space and satellite capabilities.
Genrobotics wants to expand its defence and space robotics work in Africa.
Both sides described the agreement as an important step toward future cooperation.
Genrobotics and South Africa’s Armscor signed an MoU to explore defence, space, satellite and robotics cooperation.
The agreement creates a non-exclusive framework for identifying opportunities and potentially co-developing and commercialising robotics technologies.
The collaboration may cover South Africa, the Southern African Development Community, wider African markets and other international markets.
Armscor said the partnership supports sovereign space and satellite capabilities and dual-use technology development.
Genrobotics said the agreement could help validate its technologies and expand market access across Africa.
