Multi-Asset Fund AUM Surges as Investor Interest Broadens

Multi-Asset Fund AUM Surges as Investor Interest Broadens

Multi-asset funds put money into different investments, such as shares, bonds, gold and silver.

This lets investors spread their money instead of relying on one type of investment.

In August 2026, these funds received about Rs 3,671 crore from investors.

Their total assets grew to about Rs 2.07 lakh crore.

The number of investor accounts also rose sharply to more than 60 lakh.

Gold and silver performed strongly, which helped make these funds popular.

However, recent inflows have slowed after gold prices stopped rising as quickly.

Experts say these funds may be useful for beginners, but experienced investors with diversified portfolios should check for overlap before investing.
