Dutch Trader Sues Ex-Associate for CIA Impersonation Fraud
A Dutch oil trader named Niels Troost is suing his former business partner, Gaurav Srivastava.
Troost says Srivastava lied about being a CIA spy to trick him into giving up control of his company.
Srivastava allegedly told big stories about secret missions, fake scars, and even being kidnapped by ISIS.
He also showed pictures with important politicians to seem more believable.
Troost says none of this is true and that Srivastava used these lies to get millions of dollars.
He even hired a fake intelligence group to spread more lies.
Troost wants to show that Srivastava is not a spy and never worked for the CIA.
Niels Troost sued Gaurav Srivastava for allegedly impersonating a CIA operative to take control of his $350 million company.
Srivastava claimed to be a deep-cover CIA operative with training at 'the Farm' in Virginia and fake battle scars.
Troost alleges Srivastava fabricated stories, including a fake ISIS kidnapping in the DRC in 2008, to manipulate him.
Srivastava allegedly used the deception to finance a lavish lifestyle, including a $24.5 million California mansion.
Troost claims Srivastava hired the Arkin Group, a private intelligence firm, to spread false stories about him.
