Pavitrotsavams Concludes at Tirumala Temple
The annual Pavitrotsavams festival finished on Thursday.
The day included special ceremonies like Snapana Tirumanjanam and Visesha Samarpana, followed by a parade of the deities.
The final prayer, called Poornahuti, occurred at 7 pm.
Afterwards, the idols of Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sridevi, and Bhudevi were taken on a celebratory ride around the temple.
Temple officials also participated.
The three-day Pavitrotsavams concluded with Pavitra Poornahuti on Thursday evening.
Snapana Tirumanjanam and Visesha Samarpana were held in the morning and afternoon, respectively.
A grand procession of the deities followed the earlier events.
Poornahuti was performed at 7 pm according to Agama Shastra.
Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sridevi, and Bhudevi took a ride around the temple afterward.
