TD Leaders Emphasize Party Discipline, Warn Against Deviations
The Telugu Desam Party (TD) leaders said that the party’s rules are very important and no one can ignore them.
They warned that if a TD leader talks with or shows up with leaders from another party, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRC), they could be punished.
The party has already stopped TD leaders from sharing public platforms with YSRC leaders, except for special cases like condolence meetings.
A senior TD leader, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, had a problem but he apologized and promised to follow the party’s rules, so the issue is now closed.
The leaders asked all party workers to stay united, support the government’s work, and not say things that could upset the party or the coalition.
TD state president Palla Srinivasa Rao and minister Nimmala Rama Naidu warned that party discipline is non‑negotiable.
Leaders who violate party norms, especially by sharing platforms with YSRC leaders, will face strict disciplinary action.
The party has barred TD leaders from public appearances with YSRC leaders, except in exceptional circumstances such as condolence meetings.
The controversy over senior leader Bonda Umamaheswara Rao was resolved after he reaffirmed his commitment to the party line.
Leaders urged workers to uphold coalition unity, promote government achievements, and avoid statements that could demoralize cadres.
