Delhi High Court Stays Principal's Suspension
The Delhi High Court has temporarily stopped the suspension of Ramanujan College's principal, Rasal Singh.
He was suspended due to allegations of sexual harassment.
The court decided to halt the suspension because Singh wasn't given a chance to defend himself before the decision.
The court stated that the allegations should be investigated by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), not the committee that initially recommended the suspension.
The court has asked the ICC to consider whether any restrictions or interim measures against Singh are necessary.
The High Court is also asking for a response from those involved by October 15.
Delhi High Court stayed the suspension of Ramanujan College Principal Rasal Singh.
Suspension followed allegations of sexual harassment by three teachers.
The court noted Singh was not afforded a hearing before the suspension.
Court ruled the suspension was unwarranted before the ICC's inquiry.
