Babarchak in Bihar set to become state’s first smart village

Babarchak village in Bihar is becoming the state's first smart village.

This village was badly damaged in the 1989 riots, and many people had to live in temporary shelters for a long time.

The government has now built permanent houses for 164 landless families, giving them a safe and secure place to live.

The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, started this project in February 2025.

The project includes building better roads, providing electricity and water, and creating jobs.

This is all part of a plan to make the village a better place to live, just like a city.

The village is now a symbol of hope for people who lost everything and are now building a better future.
