Anuradha Thakur Appointed to RBI Board
The Indian government has chosen Anuradha Thakur, who works in the Economic Affairs department, to join the board that runs the Reserve Bank of India.
She's taking the place of Ajay Seth, who recently retired.
Ms. Thakur has been in government since 1994 and is from Himachal Pradesh.
Her new role starts on July 24, 2025.
Another government representative, M Nagaraju, who handles financial services, is also on the board.

Thakur is a 1994-batch IAS officer from the Himachal Pradesh cadre.
