India Launches Indigenous 4G Network to Boost Tech
India has created its own 4G network using Indian technology.
This new network, which is also ready for 5G, aims to make India less dependent on foreign technology.
The network connects almost 98,000 locations and serves over 22 million people, including those who have never had digital access before.
This technology will improve online classes for students, help farmers check crop prices, and support the armed forces.
The initiative promotes domestic production, skill development, and economic growth.
India is also advancing 5G and is planning for the development of 6G.
India launched its first fully indigenous 4G (5G-ready) network.
The network was developed with contributions from C-DOT, Tejas Networks, and TCS.
Nearly 98,000 4G towers have been commissioned, connecting over 22 million citizens.
The technology aims to increase digital access in rural areas and support secure communication for armed forces.
The project is designed with export potential and supports India's goal for self-reliance.
