1996 Ghaziabad Bomb Blast: HC Acquits Man Due to Inadmissible Confession
A man, Mohammad Ilyas, was acquitted by the Allahabad High Court in the 1996 Ghaziabad bus blast case.
The court said his confession, which was the main evidence against him, couldn't be used because the law under which it was recorded had lapsed.
The prosecution couldn't prove his guilt with the remaining evidence.

Ilyas' confession recorded by police was deemed inadmissible due to lapse of TADA Act
