Catastrophic Winter Storm Hits US
A really big and dangerous winter storm is hitting the US.
It's bringing lots of snow and ice, which can cause power outages and make travel very difficult.
Many people are preparing by buying supplies and staying inside.
The storm is so strong that many states have declared emergencies.
The cold is so extreme that it can cause frostbite in just a few minutes.
Scientists think this kind of storm might be happening more often because of climate change, but some people, like former President Donald Trump, are questioning this.
Everyone is being told to stay safe and take care of each other during this storm.
A massive winter storm is affecting 200 million people across the US, bringing heavy snow, freezing rain, and extreme cold.
The storm could cause catastrophic ice accumulation, leading to long-duration power outages, extensive tree damage, and dangerous travel conditions.
Over 1,800 flights have been cancelled, with many cancellations in and out of Texas.
Multiple states, including Arkansas, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and New York, have declared states of emergency to mobilize disaster response crews and resources.
Residents are preparing by stocking up on supplies, and authorities are warning of life-threatening cold and the risk of frostbite within minutes in extreme conditions.
