BJP Accuses CM of Bias in Letter to Officers
A BJP leader named Suvendu Adhikari said that the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, wrote a letter to some government officers to try and influence them.
He thinks she is being unfair to these officers, called WBCS, and favoring another group, WBPS.
The letter talked about making their jobs better and promised to help them in the future.
The BJP leader said that the WBCS officers are not getting the same opportunities as the WBPS officers, and this is not fair.
He also said that the government is trying to scare the WBCS officers into being loyal.
The hearings for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voters’ list in West Bengal will start on December 27.
These hearings will check the names of people who are not linked to the 2002 voters’ list and those who have doubtful entries.
The final list will be published on February 14, 2025.
