Mumbai Family Preserves Man’s Body In Freezer For Four Years

An 80-year-old man in Mumbai died in 2022 after several illnesses.

His family was very emotionally attached to him.

They decided not to perform his last rites.

Instead, they kept his body in a freezer at home.

Later, they moved it to a local dispensary when their building was redeveloped.

That dispensary closed about a month ago.

The family reportedly spent more than Rs 50 lakh preserving the body.

They were considering sending it to a facility in the United States for long-term cryopreservation.

Police investigated the case and said there was no foul play.
