Couple Builds Dream Homestay in Uttarakhand
A couple named Sambit and Disha built a beautiful homestay called Doi Homestay in the mountains of Uttarakhand.
It's surrounded by fruit orchards and forests, and they grow their own food.
They started a travel company first to save money and learn about the business.
The homestay has five rooms named after fruits.
They also work hard to be eco-friendly by managing plastic waste.
They cook delicious meals for their guests and offer both short and long stays.
They are now planning to open a pizzeria and bakery nearby.
Doi Homestay is located in Nathuakhan, Uttarakhand, surrounded by deodar forests and fruit orchards.
Founded by Sambit Dattachaudhuri and Disha Kapkoti, who met in Delhi and shared a passion for travel and sustainability.
The couple launched a travel company, The Doi Host, in 2017 to fund and learn about their homestay dream.
Doi Homestay offers packages for long-term and short-term stays, with all meals included, using locally grown ingredients.
The homestay is known for its eco-friendly practices, including plastic waste management and self-sustainability efforts.
