Congress Protests MGNREGA Changes in Karnataka and Telangana
Congress leaders in Karnataka and Telangana are protesting against changes to the MGNREGA scheme.
They believe the government wants to make the scheme weaker and remove Mahatma Gandhi's name from it.

The protest is against the replacement of MGNREGA with the new rural employment scheme 'Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajivika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G).
Congress leaders in Telangana will tour villages from January 28 to 31, holding gram sabha meetings with MGNREGA job card holders.
The leaders will conduct two village meetings per day and share community meals with job card holders in Telangana.
The tour includes meetings in Medak, Manakondur, Vemulawada, Yellareddy, Alair, Nakrekal, and Ibrahimpatnam in Telangana.
