Paradip Port Unveils Rs 427.80 Crore Infrastructure Boost

Paradip Port in Odisha opened seven new infrastructure projects.

These projects cost Rs 427.80 crore.

A major dredging project made the port deep enough for very large ships carrying full loads.

A new bridge is expected to help the nearly 3,000 trucks that use the route each day.

The port also installed a system that uses radar, cameras, artificial intelligence and other tools to monitor ships.

Three more projects worth Rs 1,580.36 crore will make cargo handling more automatic.

The port wants all of its berths to be mechanised by 2030.

It also planted its one-millionth tree and supported job training and skills programmes for people in nearby communities.
