Delta Corp Q3 Earnings Fall 60%
Delta Corp, a company that runs casinos and gaming businesses, recently announced its earnings for the third quarter of 2025.
The company made much less profit this time, about 60% less than the same period last year.
This is because the government increased the tax on gaming chips to 40%, which made it harder for the company to make money.
The company's stock price also went down by 4%.
To deal with these challenges, Delta Corp is planning to split into two separate companies, one for gaming and another for hospitality and real estate.
This way, they hope to focus better and create more value for their shareholders.
Delta Corp's Q3 profit declined 60% to Rs 14.28 crore due to a 40% GST hike on gaming chips.
Revenue from operations fell 14% to Rs 186.88 crore, and EBITDA dropped 50% to Rs 24.1 crore.
The company's stock price fell 4% to Rs 69.56, and its market cap decreased to Rs 1877 crore.
Delta Corp has filed for a demerger to split into two entities: one for gaming and another for hospitality and real estate.
The company is engaging with the government to advocate for a tax levy on Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) in line with global practices.
