Top Lashkar Terrorist Mohammed Asif Killed in Kashmir

Security forces in Kashmir killed Mohammed Asif, who was also known as Hashim Moosa.

Officials said he was a senior member of Lashkar-e-Tayiba, an armed group.

They said he had previously served in Pakistan's military, including its Special Services Group.

He reportedly entered Jammu and Kashmir in 2021.

The Army said troops noticed suspicious movement and a gunfight followed.

Asif was accused of helping plan several attacks on soldiers and civilians.

Officials also linked him to the Pahalgam attack in April 2025, where 26 people died.

His death is being described as a major setback for the group's operations in Kashmir.
