Nitish Kumar Launches 'Samriddhi Yatra' in Bihar
Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, started a special tour called 'Samriddhi Yatra' or Prosperity Tour.
He began this tour in a place called Bettiah.
During this tour, he started new projects worth Rs153 crore and also opened 36 projects that were already finished.
He said his government is working hard to make Bihar a better state with the help of the central government.
He talked about improving education, healthcare, and giving jobs to sportspersons.
He also met with women who are part of a self-reliance program and praised their work.
However, a spokesperson from the RJD party, Chittaranjan Gagan, questioned the tour.
He said that Bihar is still very poor and has many problems like low literacy rates and bad health conditions.
He mentioned that Bihar is one of the poorest states in India and has a lot of catching up to do.
Nitish Kumar launched the 'Samriddhi Yatra' from Bettiah, West Champaran district, marking his 16th statewide tour as Chief Minister.
He laid the foundation for 125 development projects worth Rs153 crore and inaugurated 36 completed projects costing Rs29 crore.
Kumar targeted the Opposition, claiming his government is working with honesty and dedication to develop Bihar with Central government cooperation.
He announced plans to ban private practice by government doctors and provide government jobs to sportspersons.
RJD spokesperson Chittaranjan Gagan questioned the 'Samriddhi Yatra', citing Bihar's low development indicators and high poverty rates.
