NCLT Approves ₹1,950-Crore Settlement for NSEL Traders
The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has approved a plan to pay ₹1,950 crore to 5,682 traders who were owed money by the National Spot Exchange Limited (NSEL).
This plan was supported by 63 Moons Technologies, the parent company of NSEL.
Most of the traders voted in favor of this settlement, which will help them get their money back.
This is not the first time 63 Moons has helped traders.
In 2013, they also paid ₹179 crore to 7,053 smaller traders.
The decision was praised by the Managing Director of NSEL and the Chairman of the NSEL Investors' Forum, who thanked the government for its support in resolving the issue.
NCLT approved a ₹1,950-crore settlement for 5,682 NSEL traders.
The settlement was supported by 92.81% of traders by number and 91.35% by value.
63 Moons Technologies, the parent company of NSEL, backed the settlement scheme.
This is the second time 63 Moons has provided relief to traders, having paid ₹179 crore in 2013.
The settlement aims to resolve outstanding dues and provide financial closure for affected traders.
