Vemulawada Adds Gudicheruvu Bund Park to Spiritual Tourism
Vemulawada, a town in India known for its big temple, has built a new park by a lake.
The park has a huge statue of Lord Shiva and other religious statues.
It also has a fountain, a place to do yoga, gardens, walking paths, and a stage for shows.
The park was built with money from a local development authority and the tourism department.
People hope the park will make the town a nicer place for visitors and help more people come to see the temple.
Vemulawada, known as Dakshina Kashi, opened Gudicheruvu Bund Park beside Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy Temple.
The 12‑crore project, funded by VTADA and overseen by the Tourism Department, features a 40‑foot Shiva idol, Sapta Matrikas, Nataraja fountain, and Surya Namaskar platform.
Park includes landscaped gardens, walking tracks, cobblestone pathways, an amphitheatre, and plans for boating facilities.
The park aims to enhance pilgrimage experience and promote Vemulawada as a blend of spirituality, culture, and nature.
Project completed under District Collector Garima Agrawal’s supervision.
