Minor Girl Rescued From Kolkata Hotel; Four Arrested

Police in Kolkata rescued a young girl from a hotel room.

She had been taken there after being promised a better-paying singing job.

Police said she was locked inside the room for several days.

A hotel worker helped her contact a relative.

The relative informed the police, who quickly raided the hotel.

Four men were arrested in connection with the case.

Police said the men admitted they planned to traffic the girl and force her into prostitution.

Investigators are checking whether the men belong to a larger trafficking group.

Police will also ask why the bar where she previously sang had hired a minor.
