Silver Prices Surge 178% in 2025

Silver prices have gone up a lot, by 178%, in 2025.

This is not just a short-term thing but a big change because there isn't enough silver to go around.

People and industries need silver, but there isn't enough being mined or recycled.

In China, the price of silver went up a lot when other markets were closed, showing that people are willing to pay more to get silver right away.

Also, the amount of silver stored in warehouses has gone down a lot.

It takes a long time to start new mines, so the supply isn't going to increase anytime soon.

This means silver is becoming more valuable not just as a precious metal but also because it's important for making things like smartphones and solar panels.

In 2026, silver prices started with a slight increase, reaching a high of ₹2,38,911 per kg before settling at ₹2,35,873 per kg.

Gold prices also saw a modest gain, with the February contract on MCX reaching ₹1,35,890 per 10 grams.

Experts believe that the long-term bullish trend for both metals remains intact, supported by supply constraints and industrial demand.
