Arundhati Choudhary Wins Commonwealth Gold After Choosing Boxing

Arundhati Choudhary is a 22-year-old boxer from Kota, India.

She was very good at school, especially mathematics.

Her family expected her to prepare for the IIT entrance exams.

But Arundhati loved boxing because winning depended on her own effort.

At first, her father found it difficult to understand her choice.

Her family eventually supported her decision.

At the 2026 Commonwealth Games, she won the women’s 70kg gold medal.

She beat strong opponents, including the defending Commonwealth champion.
