Himachal Rain Death Toll Hits 64, 145 Roads Shut

Imagine it rains so much in the mountains that roads get blocked and it becomes dangerous.

That is what is happening in Himachal Pradesh, a state in India.

Because of the heavy rain, 64 people have lost their lives, and many roads can no longer be used.

In the district of Mandi, 66 roads are blocked, which is the highest number in the whole state.

Other districts like Kullu, Sirmaur and Shimla also have many closed roads.

Some roads are closed in Kangra, Una and Kinnaur too.

The authorities have sent an orange alert for August 10 and 11.

An orange alert is a warning that the weather may be bad, so people should be careful and stay safe.

Everyone hopes the rain stops soon so the roads can reopen.
