Delhi-Meerut Road Stretch Restored and Widened
The NCRTC has finished fixing and widening a part of the Delhi-Meerut Road.
This road is very busy and often gets damaged, especially during the rainy season.
The NCRTC made the road wider and built new drains to stop waterlogging.
They also added green areas to make the road look nicer and safer.
The road is now given back to the PWD for regular use.
This work was done while building a new train line called the Namo Bharat corridor, which runs above this road.
The train started running in October 2023 and was extended to Meerut South in August 2024.
The road is now ready for everyone to use.
The NCRTC completed the restoration and widening of a 9.3 km stretch of Delhi-Meerut Road.
The road has been widened from 7 meters to 10.5 meters on both carriageways.
Approximately 6 km of drains have been constructed to prevent waterlogging.
The road has been beautified with green belts instead of conventional dividers.
Service lanes have been constructed near Namo Bharat stations for safe passenger access.
