IndiGo Fined for 'Unclean Seat' Causing Passenger Distress

A Delhi court made IndiGo Airlines pay Rs 1.75 lakh because a passenger's seat was dirty.

A 60-year-old woman found her seat on a flight from Azerbaijan to New Delhi stained and unpleasant.

She told the crew, but they didn't help immediately, making her upset.

The court said IndiGo didn't prove they regularly cleaned their planes or taught their staff about keeping things clean.

IndiGo said the complaint was filed incorrectly and they did offer the passenger a different seat.

The court ruled in the passenger's favor, saying the airline should have provided a cleaner environment.
