Nithari Killings Docu-Series Released After Koli's Acquittal
A new documentary series called 'Nithari: Truth, Lies & Murder' has been released on Discovery+.
It talks about the scary murders that happened in Nithari in 2006.
The main person accused, Surinder Koli, was recently let out of jail by the Supreme Court.
The documentary tries to find out the real story behind the killings and shows how the system failed to protect the children.
It also talks to the families of the victims and shows how they have suffered.
The director, Deepak Chaturvedi, hopes people will watch the series and think about how to make the system better.
A new docu-series 'Nithari: Truth, Lies & Murder' was released on Discovery+ on November 20, 2023.
The series focuses on the 2006 Nithari killings, where 19 girls were murdered, and skeletal remains were found behind Moninder Singh Pandher's house.
Surinder Koli, the prime accused, was acquitted by the Supreme Court on November 12, 2023, nearly two decades after his arrest.
The documentary includes previously unseen police diaries, confession tapes, and case files, and features the first-ever interview of Moninder Singh Pandher.
The series aims to highlight systemic failures in the investigation and trial process, as well as the media's role in sensationalizing the case.
