Indian Fuel Rates Stay Steady as Crude Oil Rally Intensifies

Petrol and diesel prices in Indian cities stayed mostly steady on 11 September.

Delhi continued to list petrol at ₹102.12 and diesel at ₹95.20 per litre.

Some other cities showed small differences between 10 and 11 September.

India normally checks fuel prices every morning at 6:00 AM.

However, prices have broadly followed the increase made on 25 May for more than three months.

At the same time, oil became more expensive around the world.

Fighting involving Iran, the United States, and Houthi forces raised worries that ships and oil supplies could be disrupted.

Brent crude moved from near $102 a barrel on 10 September toward almost $110 in US trading on 11 September.

Indian oil companies did not pass all of these international price changes on to customers.
