Karnataka Deputy CM Shivakumar to Attend Davos Meet
Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar, initially canceled his trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
However, he changed his mind and decided to go after receiving permission from Delhi and advice from leaders, including some from the opposition.
The BJP criticized the Congress government, saying that the cancellation and subsequent change of plans were due to an internal power struggle.
A government delegation led by M B Patil has already left for Davos to attend the event, which runs from January 19 to 23.
Shivakumar also asserted that he enjoys the support of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and 140 Congress MLAs.
Additionally, Karnataka has objected to Maharashtra's case over the border issue, and the state is considering conducting all local body polls in one phase.
