India-Vietnam Coast Guards Deepen Cooperation at Seventh Meeting

India-Vietnam Coast Guards Deepen Cooperation at Seventh Meeting

India and Vietnam have coast guards that help protect people and the ocean.

Their coast guards held their seventh important meeting in Chennai.

Paramesh Sivamani led the Indian side, while Major General Luong Dinh Hung led the Vietnamese side.

They discussed rescuing people at sea and enforcing maritime laws.

They also talked about responding to marine pollution and improving training.

The two forces want to share useful ideas, visit each other’s ships and work together more smoothly.

They agreed that regular meetings can build trust and improve cooperation.

A joint exercise called SAHYOG–HOPTAC is planned at sea for 27 August 2026.
