Malda District Sees Two Deaths Under Investigation

Two deaths are under investigation in the Malda district.

One man, Saddam Hossain, a brick-kiln owner, was found dead with a bullet wound in Khokra village.

Police are investigating the circumstances and have collected evidence.

Another woman, Fatema Khatun, was found dead near a pond in Gaintola-Laxmipur village; the police suspect she was electrocuted while picking mangoes, potentially due to a live wire laid by the pond owner.

Authorities are searching for the pond owner, and the power company has been asked to inspect the area.
