Brahmins Demand Uninterrupted Basant Panchami Worship In Dhar
In Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, a group called Sarva Brahmin Samaj wants to worship freely on Basant Panchami, which is Maa Saraswati's birthday.
They asked the local leaders to make sure there are no problems during their prayers.
The place where they worship, called Bhojshala, is a protected site because it's very old and important.
The government has already said they can worship there every Tuesday and on Basant Panchami from morning to evening.
The Brahmin community is very serious about doing their prayers and rituals without any interruptions on this special day.
Sarva Brahmin Samaj submitted a memorandum demanding uninterrupted worship on Basant Panchami in Dhar.
Bhojshala, the worship site, is a protected national heritage site declared by the British government in 1904 and the Archaeological Survey of India in 1952.
The Central Archaeological Department granted Hindus the right to worship at Bhojshala every Tuesday and on Basant Panchami from sunrise to sunset.
The entire Hindu community is resolved to perform uninterrupted worship, prayers, yagya, and hawan throughout Basant Panchami.
The memorandum was submitted to collector's representative Dinesh Uike and SP Mayank Awasthi.
