Allahabad HC Dismisses Plea to Remove 'Next Friend' in Krishna Janmabhoomi Case
Imagine there's a legal fight over a temple and a mosque.
In court, a person called the 'next friend' represents the god.
Some people wanted to remove this 'next friend,' saying he wasn't doing a good job.
They thought he was hurting the god's case.
But the court said no, because the people asking for his removal didn't prove he was acting against the god's best interests.
The court explained that you can only remove the 'next friend' if they are not doing their job properly or if they are hurting the god's case.
Because these reasons weren't met, the 'next friend' remains.
Allahabad High Court dismissed an application to remove Kaushal Kishore Thakur as 'next friend' of the deity in the Krishna Janmabhoomi case.
The application was filed by Hindu side plaintiffs in Suit No. 7.
Plaintiffs sought to replace Thakur with Ajay Pratap Singh.
The court cited insufficient grounds to remove the 'next friend'.
