Women in AP feeling insecure: Kakani Pujitha
Kakani Pujitha, a leader from the YSRCP party, spoke to the media about a woman who was allegedly harassed by the personal assistant of a minister.
The woman had asked for a job because her husband died during Covid-19.
Pujitha said the woman was sexually and financially exploited.
She also mentioned that many women face such problems but do not speak up.
Pujitha asked the Chief Minister to take strong action against those who harm women.
She also reminded everyone that the previous Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, had started many programs to help women.
Kakani Pujitha, YSRCP women wing State working president, alleged that Satish Kumar, PA of Women and Child Welfare Minister G Sandhya Rani, sexually and financially exploited a woman.
The woman, who lost her husband during Covid-19, met the Minister requesting a job on compassionate grounds.
Pujitha claimed this is one of many instances of atrocities against women in the State, with many victims not revealing their experiences.
She recalled that former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced several welfare schemes for women during his tenure.
Pujitha appealed to CM N Chandrababu Naidu to take stringent action against those who sexually attack women.
