Punjab Congress Leaders as CM Faces

Bhupesh Baghel, a senior Congress leader, said that all senior Congress leaders in Punjab are potential chief ministerial candidates for the 2027 Assembly elections.

He mentioned that the final decision will be made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi.

Baghel also criticized the BJP government's decision to abolish MGNREGA, stating that it undermines the rural economy and takes away the constitutional right to work for rural laborers.

He expressed concern about the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab and the state's significant debt, questioning where the funds are being used.

Baghel also participated in the 'MGNREGA Bachao Sangram' campaign, which saw overwhelming participation from affected MGNREGA workers.
